I so hope anyone who doubts Molesley, and that includes me, are proven 100% wrong. It would be great if he can rediscover what made him successful last time. This club badly needs a season or two of better performances on the pitch. Nothing I'd like more than to be proven 100% wrong.

If I'm proven as wrong as I was on Goodship this season, could be in for a pretty decent season next term

Anyone would think that MM was one of Maitland’s Buddies?
When MM was cavorting around Weymouth after the Dartford PO Final, he was already leaving for Southend.

Odd that a number of us live in the past wanting to bring back players that have played for us before and buggered off at the slightest better deal or that despite them being nice chaps, just aren’t good enough. MM in his interview is right, in that what happened before is irrelevant, it is what happens in the future that counts. I respect him for saying that. At the moment he is 0-0-1. A 100 % loss record. I personally think it’s a retrograde appointment but I appear to be in a minority and I will only be happy to be wrong. I was wrong about bringing Brandon back as he’s turned out to be better than ever anticipated. Always look forward and not try to repeat the past. I am looking forward to some gobbledegook post match interviews . If things are not good on the pitch at least there won’t be a dull moment off it. Could do with another win just to make sure and to give MM every chance to secure a start to his squad build. COYT.

I don't think you are in the minority Tavi, I would say 100% of the people I have discussed the topic with are sitting firmly on the fence at the moment. I myself never like to see a hero return as things don't generally go to plan. It still upsets me the way Matty Hale's managerial career with us went. But saying all that, I too was wrong about Brandon, thought he was rubbish at the start of the season, now he gets my player of the season vote. How things can change eh!

Could do with another win just to make sure and to give MM every chance to secure a start to his squad build. COYT. I agree with this. Just as I love to relive that wonderful afternoon of 27th April 2019, I also remember how, following a 4-0 demolition of Met Police, we were eight points clear with four matches to go. Three and half of those later (following a defeat at Beaconsfield and draws against Poole and Chesham), the lead was blown and Taunton were top, before being bailed out by that wonderful final half hour. That was so nearly the mother of all bottle jobs. The following season in the NLS, however was impressive as we rightfully took our place in the hastily arranged play-offs. MM can take enormous credit for that - it's that season I choose to recall and hope he can emulate.

In the past, some folks have allowed their initial opinions to colour their views of managers, players, board members etc., no matter what happens. Because of this, patience can run thin very quickly and the pressure grows. It would really be nice in my opinion, if folks were guardedly optimistic rather than instinctively pessimistic with the caveat of hoping to be proved wrong. I respect others' opinions but IMO positivity breeds confidence. I think it'll be a while before results can be realistically attributed to MM's management and style of play etc. That'll start next season. We have a board who are keeping us afloat financially and they are clearly working hard for the benefit of the club. Bobby's departure was by mutual consent which is reason enough for me not to query further. I have faith in the people in charge of the club. No doubt they will give MM a budget we can afford. Things are tight but hopefully that'll be enough to be competitive. (I'll probably get roasted for being 'happy clappy' but I feel that positivity is a good thing). We must also hope that any contracted players remain free of long term injury. Losing Max Hemmings so early this season wasn't just dent to our form but financially too. Firstly we must focus on tonight's game and then the next one and so on until the end of this season.

Well a number of us have had our say and I agree with you, its now time to look forward and give MM and the team full support. I think we need one more win to be comfortable and then its time to look forward to next season.

Alex nailed it.
M.M has indicated that the team will play for a win at Maidstone tonight to test our strengths and weaknesses. It makes sense in terms of a reasonable confidence in safety from relegation and the need for squad assesment . There a fair bit of wheeling and dealing to be done in coming weeks.
We shouldnt throw our toys out of the pram if we dont get points from this tough away fixture.Enough will come between now and the end of season and teams below us remain in the mire. We only need to finish above Dartford at the moment .

We haven’t done that badly against a side who I fancy to go up via the play offs.

Captain Toms interview was interesting, quote 'It’s totally new and a completely different style of football. A new challenge.' In my view we were playing to the strengths of the existing players, thanks to BW legacy and Josh and Jase taking them forward. MM has come in and tried to impose his 'brand' of football on these players at short notice. Would it not have been prudent to sit on the sidelines and let Josh and Jase finish the season whilst observing the skill set of the players we have and plan for next season?

To counter that it could be argued that MM may simply be assessing players bought in to play a BW type style are able to adapt to his style.

With us being all but safe, I think its an ideal time for him to test them. See if they can play his style, see it as an extended preseason. He has more time than most to prepare for a big season next season, results matter for little more than pride with the run ins of teams around us. For me, I am just enjoying a stress free final few games with a new manager and optimistic about next season and the success that could be on the horizon for us. MM has got a good amount of time to get the team sorted for next year. I'm excited. I think we all should be.

He's got a free hit at it for the end of this season to work out who he wants to keep and who can fit into his system next season. I think we are safe, it would be a miracle if we got relegated now after last night results. I fully expect us to get the 3pts awarded for the abandoned game after the slime won the league last night. So if that isn't enough, another point in the final 3 games will do it.

Rowan, howe and winterburn are injury doubts for tomorrow, so I would expect we will have some u23s on the bench as we are running out of players

By all accounts we were woeful against Maidstone and we failed to beat Eastbourne. What you guys are saying is its acceptable to be served up poor fayre. Sorry, but its my hard earned cash that helps pay the wages. If we are not going to be competitive and entertaining against Farnborough, then perhaps I should take my money elsewhere

Following the Terras around the country is great fun but expensive. I do expect the team to go into every game with the best game plan to win the match. At the same time it does not sound as if there has been hardly any time on the training pitch so far which will not be helping much
