Massive success with us when employed by AFC Bournemouth but since then failures at Southend, Aldershot and Gosport and now with Hayes & Yeading possibly getting relegated.
He'll get my support of course but I hope the Board knows what it's doing. Why the haste?

If this is true I would welcome him back. I have a few reservations. He has not prospered since he left the Terras. Not exactly thinking outside of the box either. Still he is worth a punt I guess.

Not prospered is an understatement. But it seems inevitable now so all we can do is hope he can somehow rediscover what it was that made him successful with us the first time.

The fans will be able to go from complaining about hoofball to complaining about too much possession

The fans will be able to go from complaining about hoofball to complaining about too much possession As a Saints fan as well as a Weymouth fan, many fans are not happy with the ultra possession game that Russell Martin demands, although they do it too much in defensive situations.

All the best modern managers have a variant of the possession game. Southgate, for all the hate directed at him, has improved England massively by going this way. Everyone thought he was mad at first but sensible people can see it was the right way to go with the talent at his disposal . He has other flaws but it can’t be denied he has improved the national side. Trouble is, you need players good enough to do it. We had them when Molesley was here first time, not sure we do now. If he’s a good manager he will adapt .

Whatever Molesleys tactics are they did not work at Southend, Aldershot,Gosport or Hayes.
Hayes may yet get relegated from the Southern Prem this season. Look at how well Aldershot and Gosport have done since he left
If as seems inevitible MM is given the job, its a massive gamble that could easily backfire.
Having said all that I so hope he proves me and all the other doubters wrong. His first spell with the club gave us three excellent seasons with some very good football.

I have no idea with what crop of players MM inherited at the Shots or Gosport or Hayes. However, I know he was given a dead horse to flog at Southend which didn't surprise me that it all went wrong.
He wont be a massiah, but out of all the options to take over in the interim, he would probably be the one thay I would have confidence in steadying the ship.
At no stage am I disagreeing with the doubters. His recent form has been shocking. Then again there is a chap called Goodship who showed that the Bob Lucas has a certain magic.

MM had his hands tied at both Southend and Aldershot by all accounts. Gosport and Hayes have been too short lived to really decide upon. Since Weymouth timing and probably decisions of club selection hasn’t been MM’s strength. Let’s hope now he can arrive at Weymouth in a better position than when BW took over. BW strength was ability to get loans in (unless that was the club) as for tactics/style and charisma I would think MM is light years ahead. Also don’t forget Tom Prodomo now operates in a very similar role to what MM did At Bournemouth. So the connection is there Bournemouth I’m sure would love to rekindle that connection since it gave there youth experience an exposure under a manager who plays the “Bournemouth way”. It is also better for us that getting loans from clubs further a field which we won’t likely then sign. Atleast we can then permanently sign players if they don’t make it at Bournemouth but has success at Weymouth. A squad of signed players is the next step for the club again. Not loan after loan and player change. I think it must be nailed on, the way MM has left Hayes and note it is before the registration deadline ! Also the fact McQuoid has come in screams of a player (if fit) assistant manager role under Mose next season ! Now that is something I could get excited about. Also don’t rule out the signing of Jake McCarthy as Havant will likely be relegated.

Not wishing to have a reunion as such, it would be nice to pick the bones of those players still performing at this level. Makes us more likely to retain the gooduns from this season & attract more local loanees that are likely to stay. Isn’t Camp nearing fitness too? MM will know what support he’ll get here both on & off the pitch & hopefully it’ll be an ideal club to lick his wounds & consolidate Exciting times I hope.

Well all the speculation seems it’s on the cards that he will be our next manager. I would certainly welcome that as he did a great job here and i think MM and Weymouth FC are a very good fit.
Irrespective of what’s gone on at the other clubs he has managed you don’t become a bad manager following his success here. At least he will know who he is working for and feel reassured by the job they have done in rescuing the club, and i have every confidence he will do the same.
All hearsay at the moment but remember BW resigned at Bracknell and next day he was here. Just keep your eyes open at Bath this afternoon as if this is the case MM might be there viewing what he has to work with. As i have said before it’s good to get a look at players early so you have a good idea what to do squad wise before pre-season.

Mccarthy is a tricky one, would depend on who wants him and how much he would cost, but would definitely have him back
