If I attend any WFC Match, I expect to hear foul and abusive language, and from all ages. The Club is trying hard to portray a family image, and if many of the people that they’re trying to attract hear some of the language, particularly from behind the goal, they are unlikely to return. Which part of trying to portray a family image, involves increasing admission prices for Schoolchildren by 100%? The Club relented, so it was just a 50% increase.

You are moving the goalposts to the corner flag! I don’t agree with the financial planning, but that is another story. What concerns me most is that families should be able to attend football in a nice friendly environment.

The Club's tolerance of vile and sensless abuse hurled at opposition keepers was one of the reasons why after many years supporting the Club I lost interest in regularly attending games, a few seasons ago. The Club needs to ban the individuals concerned now and any in future who behave in a similar manner, and make sure the bans are enforced. You may be thinking of a similar game to myself. Home to Dorchester a few years back? Appalling abuse to their keeper centering on his daughter. Shocking. Stewards did nothing. I recall Jake McCarthy and Goodship looking quite shocked. To this day I feel guilty that I did not intervene. I do expect swearing and it's not Come Dancing but this appears to have crossed the line in a similar way.

I honestly can't believe how many of our fans are trying to brush this under the carpet. Do we really want to be the club who's fans make threats to players children? Seriously thinking about going to watch Portland for a bit instead. Toxic isn't the word.

I don’t think anyone is trying to sweep it under the carpet , it’s just Blacklisted who is one of the gang, and whose relative, by his own account , was one of those there on Saturday , after having too many lagers and ciders on the train . You and other commenters are right, any claim by the Club to be family or community oriented will be viewed is a joke if this isn’t dealt with properly. More and more people will just stay away , more and more sponsors or potential sponsors will be disgusted . I know I am . This doesn’t need to await the outcome of a police investigation. We all know what was said, we all know which adult said it ( it matches his social media comments) and he should be banned immediately . Even if he is good at golf.

People of a nervous disposition should steer clear of the National League fans Facebook pages . This club’s name is now mud.

Blacklisted, what purpose are you providing? I mean on this thread, but perhaps also in general. True to form, you’ve trolled this thread and despite some wet attempts at not condoning this vile behaviour, you are clearly doing just that.
Presumably these are the same stupid little cretins that got turfed out of the Bath FA Cup game. I remember you, Blacklisted, getting yourself off on having a go at security on that one as well. Still awaiting the first ever, I was going to say positive, but just non-negative actually, comment about the club you pretend to support…
Back to the Farnborough oiks, involve the police and ban them for 5 years. Id say life but they are young and whilst some will grow up to be the same as adults, some will mature and cringe when they look back in later life. As has already been previously commented, these pathetic pseudo ultras types tend to have links to the far right, or at least like to think that’s what people think. Fortunately 99% of the time it’s only in their their little groups and in their brainwashed minds. But even then, their rhetoric is still dangerous and divisive. Everything in their world is formed from the headlines they read and taking a binary position on things they could not understand, even if they tried.

Aa a fan of shall we say elderly age ..who was not at Farnboro can i just say Having watched all football for over 55 years attending and playing at many levels . Decades ago football matches were a dangerous place due to fan violence . But that was always directed to the opposing fans . The opposition goalkeeper is a target for abuse at most grounds but within limits and certainly never his family . What kind of coward says things to a man who can not fight back ? Luckily this bunch of young fans have never met any real opposition on the terraces .. But i can recall Frome visiting a few years ago and scaring the hell outa the so called ultras behind our goal .. Time for the club to stand up and act . A quick few year ban should of been issued by now ! The lack of clear decisive action is not helping the club it takes minutes to agree a ban .. not days

Trouble is, there's banter, and there's downright abuse, players have had some stick since day one ,I remember being at Y*****s new ground , for a pre season friendly,I think Chris Weale was in goal for the slime, terras won one nil, so I said to the keeper, long hard season Weale, and he bit straight away , that's what it's all about.

We all look back on certain aspects of our youth and cringe, no doubt these lads will when they're older too. I have respect for them for going to watch their local team every saturday rather than staring at Sky Sports but the cosplaying as hooligans thing is utterly embarrassing. You're probably good kids from good families. You really don't want to come across 'actual' hooligans. As for the things that were said about the goalkeeper's daughter. That's a whole other issue for me. Utterly, utterly vile.

Doing things properly is surely better than a knee-jerk reaction. If you want to do the right thing you ought to do it correctly. I wasn't there and only have a second-hand impression of what happened (there seem to be two separate issues). I certainly don't know who did what, I just get the gist that something very embarrassing for the club happened, and that involved totally unacceptable behaviour on the part of some fans. I agree that there should be consequences for those fans if they can be clearly identified. It's a pretty good bet that the officials of the club that will have to deal with the aftermath were accommodated in a different part of the ground. They may have been nearby but actually watching the game not the bellends. So some evidence-gathering process is required.

Knee jerk ? Hardly. It's been nearly 7 days since the incident and I'm not aware yet of what resolution the club and/or police have settled on. Sounds like the matter is still being investigated thoroughly and hopefully they'll come back soon with a result. I think they need to get this right as, as has been pointed out elsewhere, this sort of behaviour can be damaging to the club and embarassing to many of us fans.

Nice to hear the club have acted quickly and handed out bans.
Hopefully by the time they're allowed back, they'll have grown up and can handle their beer a bit better. Fizzy Carlsberg goes straight to your head when you're a 7st 15 year old.

It's interesting how life's changed over the last 30 to 40 years. Alot of kids would get a clip round the ear from their parents if they had trouble brought home be that from teachers, police or someone else. I respected my Dad, he wasn't physical but he put me right on many occasions and I didn't want to disappoint him as i had a tiny bit of fear. Now we get parents who aren't able to be anything like an authority figure and the kids behave like they do. Too many kids get spoilt, feel entitled and free to do what they want when they want. Responsibility from parents has been lost with some. They wash their hands of it and blame anyone else but themselves.

Jumpers for goalposts! Not sure if your comments are satire. Perhaps just lifted directly from Daily Mail or perhaps Daily MASH?!
